IN-GAME MODERATOR - Application

This post is information for applying for an IN-GAME MODERATOR position - for FORUMS MOD, check the relevant post.

The in-game moderator spots are designed for dedicated and active players who have shown potential as a helper and wish to increase their rank. ALL Moderators must be current Helpers to be considered for an in-game moderator position - if you are not currently a helper in-game, your moderator application will be edited so that it is applying for helper instead.

• ASSIST other players in-game regarding small problems and questions.
  
• CONTACT moderators for assistance with tackling larger problems.
  
• REMAIN ACTIVE, by playing in-game frequently so that you are able to fulfil your requirements.
  
• FOLLOW, and remind others of, the in-game rules of SuperScape.
  

Your in-game crown will also change, the use of some powers will be assigned (mute and jail, both temporary) and you will look after the helper team. The ratio of moderators : helpers will be 1 : 2 so there'll be plenty of other staff to assist you in-game.

Again, the rules you'll follow are similar to that of a helper.

• To enforce the rules by at first giving a WARNING, then punishment after a second incident (unless minor when another warning is possible - INSTANT punishment allowed in severe cases).
  
• To help other players when possible if asked - AFK is OK, but when playing, show an effort to help! Ignoring players frequently is not acceptable.
  
• To inform a higher staff member of possible inactivity due to commitments - inability to do so may forfeit your position.
  
• No abuse of position - using your powers or your position to influence your own in-game status isn't allowed.
  
• To assist the helpers, and guide these staff members, when they are unsure of how to go about a situation etc.
  

Frequent review of your position, the actions you have performed and your general level of ability to moderate will occur, so ensure that you're fulfilling your moderator position otherwise you may be demoted back to a HELPER, or lose staff status altogether if need be.

Note, that for selection as a GLOBAL MODERATOR (with Forums powers) and ADMIN+ ranks, then this will be privately decided by myself so don't post applications for this. I'll discuss with you as to whether you wish to have forums ranks or an admin rank one day, and keep this in mind as I watch your ability to moderator in-game.

If you're a helper in-game and wish to submit a moderator application, then copy and paste the following form, filling it out carefully and truthfully. Your application may sit for a long time whilst you remain a helper, however unless you inform me otherwise, your desire for promotion from helper to moderator will be remembered.
